A SIP tiny house is constructed using structural insulated panels, which are a very sturdy modern green building material that is more energy efficient than traditional building materials such as wood. A SIP is made up of an insulating foam core sandwiched between two structural panels called oriented strand board (OSB) and is held together by structural adhesive. SIPs can be fabricated to fit nearly any building design. Because of its energy efficiency, a sip tiny house is more cost effective since its HVAC system won’t have to work as hard to keep the air temperature stable inside the tiny house.
