OK, I build a tiny house now where do I park it?  This is a question I hear all the time.  Now I have an answer.
If you know of any others or as they become available please let me know so I can ad them to the list.

  1. California: Lemon Cove Village in northern CA is a tiny house community that had transitioned from an RV park. Lot rent: $450 to $595 per month, including the common area fee.
  2. California: Jay Shafer is developing a tiny house village. The current Sonoma County planner is receptive to the idea and says “If Shafer can find the right site, the right utility hookups and enough financing to build the community, we’ll find the right permit process for him”.
  3. DC: Boneyard Studios was a tiny house showcase from 2012 to mid 2014. Currently, only one tiny house is located at the original site and is operating under a new name, Micro Showcase. Two of the tiny houses have retained the Boneyard name, Boneyard Studios, but are searching for a new location. The other tiny house is at Orlando Lakefront at College Park in Orlando, FL.
  4. Florida: Orlando Lakefront at College Park is a lakefront, year-round tiny house community/RV park in Orlando. My own tiny home is there (see the picture at the top of this page).
  5. Florida: Sunshine Ranch is an ecovillage in Osteen that is expanding to offer a tiny house community in May 2015. Tiny house enthusiast Kik Nardin is developing this through the nonprofit Paint It Green.
  6. Georgia: Tennessee Tiny Homes is considering developing a tiny house village in the Atlanta area. With 50% down on one of their custom tiny houses, they will finance the rest up to $15,000 at 0% interest for up to 5 years. The tiny house would need to remain in the village until paid in full. Lot rent is anticipated to range from $250-$500. Email tennesseetinyhomes@yahoo.com for more information.
  7. Indiana: Tiny houses are coming in the spring to Towering Pines Vineyard, an organic farm and learning center.
  8. Iowa: Tom Greene, is developing an eco-village, SoFair Farms. Membership is available, starting at $22,000.
  9. Minnesota: A tiny house community is being planned at the Sanctuary in Ogilvie, MN. Target opening date: May 2015.
  10. Missouri: In Kansas City, Joshua Farmer is forming a tiny house communities of 4 to 6 houses on vacant city lots. Cost is anticipated to start at $10,000 and financing may be available. Learn more by joining the Facebook group.
  11. New Mexico: A tiny house community & eco-resort, Caballos de las Estrellas, is under development in Rodeo.
  12. North Carolina: The Village of Wildflowers in Flat Rock was founded on the belief that “smaller is better” with many certified park model tiny homes for rent or purchase.
  13. North Carolina: Also for certified park model tiny homes, Coral Sands Point Recreational Village offers deeded waterfront sites, each with a private pier for $55,000. Financing is available.
  14. North Carolina: High Cove is an eco-village in Mitchell County that welcomes small and tiny houses. The community has architectural and landscape guidelines as well as a homeowner’s association. Half acre lots start at $45,000.
  15. North Carolina: Highland Lake Cove is an eco-village in Flat Rock that welcomes small and tiny houses. Land is available for lease.
  16. North Carolina: John Williams is developing a tiny house community and ecovillage called Camp Tiny House of the Triad in Kernersville.
  17. Ohio: Lovare Homestead in De Graff is 7 acres of communal farm and orchard with room for 6 tiny houses.
  18. Oregon: Founded by Tony & Aline Diethelm, Ben Campbell, and Karin Parramore, Simply Home Community is in Portland, and is now also the site of the Lucky Penny, Lina Menard’s (Niche Consulting) tiny house.
  19. Tennessee: In Pikeville, Our Tiny Safe Haven offers visitors a low cost retreat experience that promotes holistic healing through off-grid tiny house homesteading, wellness workshops, and family bonding events. In addition, several lots are available for permanent resident families who would like to become part of the safe haven community.
  20. Tennessee: Tennessee Tiny Homes is planning a tiny house village, seeking customers for tiny homes on an about acre of land each, with 10+ acres of common ground. The cost will be $60,000 and include a 20ft tiny home plus 5 years of parking in the village. This site is a wooded area in the country, just 30 minutes from downtown Memphis.   21. Texas: Tennessee Tiny Homes is considering developing a tiny house village in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin and/or Houston areas. With 50% down on one of their custom tiny houses, they will finance the rest up to $15,000 at 0% interest for up to 5 years. The tiny house would need to remain in the village until paid in full.   22. Texas: Austin Live|Work is an innovative mixed-use 10 acre land development, half a mile from the Circuit of the Americas, for tiny house entrepreneurs who want to live peacefully and work productively.
  23. Texas: In Luling, four tiny homes are located on the property of Tiny Texas Houses.
  24. Texas: Sunconomy is building an eco-village of tiny houses in Willis, TX, at Healing Hands Ranch, which as you can see below, aims to help transition folks to better circumstances. Sunconomy’s homes will be available to the general population, as well as to the residents of Healing Hands Ranch.
  25. Vermont: Headwaters Garden & Learning Center in Cabot, VT, is an eco-village that welcomes tiny houses.
  26. Wisconsin: An ecovillage that will accept tiny houses, Stone’s Throw Ecovillage hopes to open sometime in 2015, in Viroqua, WI.
